Job Description

An international manufacturing business seeks a professional Manager: Financial Controlling to join their team.

 

Ideal candidates :  Will have a minimum of a 5 -10 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with a completed relevant tertiary qualification CIMA/  B.Comm or similar to manage a costing department in the East Rand. Must have strong financial discipline experience of costing, accounting, asset management etc. Excellent people management skills and leadership qualities as well as strong technical nous of IFRS, financial controlling principles, ERP experience etc.

 

East Rand, Gauteng based.

The role in a nutshell: To manage the costing department in Boksburg, ensure sound financial controls, adherence to policies and accurate financial reporting as well as on site financial assistance. Prepare and submit inputs of manufacturing cost on RFQ’s; Ensure correct reporting of stock levels – quantities, cost and valuation; procedural recommendation and operational requirements to ensure sufficient financial controls; identify risks which relates to Inventory and products which could have financial implications, liaise with internal and external auditors on request, monthly reporting on all key financial information (stock, costing, costs, assets etc.), oversee yearly budget and forecasting processes, oversee compliance in respect on Month-end and Year-end procedures, represent finance on the procurement committee on high value orders. Qualifications and experience required:

  • Minimum of a completed relevant tertiary qualification CIMA/ B.Com or similar
  • Minimum of 5 – 10 years cost accounting / financial experience in a manufacturing environment, essential
  • Sound knowledge of Financial and Controlling principles
  • Knowledgeable of IFRS accounting guidelines
  • Sound communication skills as well as Interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management skills
  • Computer literate and knowledge of ERP system
