Full-Time Manager: Learning & Development (L&D), EE

Job Description

Financial services group seeks an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join their HR team. Are you a strong HR professional with a minimum of 5 years L&D Management level experience, with a preference to candidates from the financial services space. Passionate about a team playing environment, that is innovative, diverse and dedicated and looking to be part of building the company’s L&D strategy – then listen further.

 

Cape Town based.

The role in a nutshell: Develop and implement the Learning and Development (L&D) strategy, and implementation plan which is aligned to and supports the strategic priorities and vision of the business. Facilitate design and delivery of L&D programs and implementation of these in partnership managers, internal & external vendors etc. Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders. Oversee the output, quality and impact of L&D interventions. Manage, monitor and evaluate the delivery of L&D programmes, processes etc. Be responsible for L&D analytics, insights and reporting. Develop, implement and monitor targeted skills development programmes e.g. Internships, learnerships etc. Ensure alignment with legislative and regulatory requirements. Monitor and analyse the impact of interventions and report on progress. Manage L&D budget, analyse development requirements resulting from performance management discussions. Qualifications and experience required:

  • Minimum of a completed relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum of 10 years experience of which a minimum of 5 years has been in a L&D Management role.
  • Must have strong project management and team management skills
  • Natural leader, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have training development and implementation experience
  • Must have previous budget and staff management skills
  • Must have strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with employees
  • Take pride in your professional contribution to the team, building and helping employees reach full potential and realise their value
