Job Description

Financial services client seeks a Tax Manager for their Trust team – Minimum 5 years’ experience within financial services industry with previous staff management experience, to manage their team of tax administrators.


Cape Town based.


Please note that this role is only open to suitably qualified Employment Equity candidates. 


The role in a nutshell: To managed and lead a team of Trust Tax Administrators, managing work outputs, ensuring team management meets client requirements, ensure tax compliance by SARS deadlines etc. Build and develop the team ensuring a culture of client service is developed and delivered, manage the implementation of business operational improvements as required, manage the billing process and debtors collection, monitoring fees and preparing the annual budget forecast etc. Strong technical experience and skills required as well as strong interpersonal and staff leadership skills sought. Qualifications & experience required:

  • Minimum of completed B.Com or Higher Diploma in Tax or Honours level in Taxation
  • Minimum of 5 years’ taxation experience and must have 2 years as a manager of others
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of fiduciary / trust tax sought
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build good working relationships
  • Good team leader – management of others skills and experience
